We headed out of Ft Pierce at 6:30 am, ready to do battle. I put out a 6 line spread plus a daisy chain and a spreader bar. We trolled from the 60' line to 420' with nothing. Then we tooled across the Oculina Bank back to 70'. Scattered weeds and a turtle here and there but once again nothing. We run into a dockmate while out there and he has the big goose egg as well. We turn and head back out and we get a small sail to check out the spread but could not get him to eat. We make it in to 650' of water and still nothing. At this point I make the call to head to the sword grounds. 6pm and I have changed the wind-ons and got the rigged squid ready. 7pm and lined are in. 9pm we get a bite and my wind-on fails, bye bye to my light too. The wind picks up and we pull the plug about 11pm. After the long ride in we arive at about 3:30am and call it a night......Final tally 19 hours: 1 bite and not a single fish, he11 I never even caught a buzz
