I finally finished the new entertainment center in Chateau de Mer and thought I'd share the result. The design idea and all sorts of help came from Walt P
, thanks again Walt.
This aft salon wall on the 48 MY series I is virtually a blank wall and looks 'plain'. Top inboard cabinet usually houses the TV. The new cabinetry provides wine storage on the lower outboard side, a dissapearing TV with electric lift on the inboard side and the real 'entertainment center' above. The cabinet is only 8" deep so doesn't block access to the generator hatch.
This is about the last of the changes we plan to make, except possibly converting a couple of drawers in the mid cabin into a small laptop work station. The Empress had a nice design for that and if I can work in a printer, I'll consider it for a fall job. For now, let the boating begin.
