43 DC for sale in Annapolis

This boat, which may be an estate sale, appears in the Annapolis Craigslist for sale listings. Cat 3208TA engines, asking $27,500. Evidently needs some cleaning up but overall does not look bad.

Since I live in Annapolis, I can look it over for seriously interested folks.

This boat needs a lot of work. Engines have been hot, one transmission doesn't shift properly, significant vibration, etc. Good project but much work.

I figured at a very low asking price there might be a chance to get it even cheaper, and for a DIYer, it might make sense.

I know of this boat. Owner passed, family just wants it to go away.
It is a '89, 40 DC.

The local Cat shop knows the boat as they were involved on a purchase survey last March,, that was failing and stopped. This shop has also expressed they did not want to work on this boat in the future.

The 375hp Cat 3208s may have low hours on them but need a lot of help.

Towing it aweigh and a through clean up / refit would be just a start.

Starting an honest price is important.
In cases as this; I start asking the seller to pay me for it's removal.
