  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
41' TWIN CABIN (1965 - 1971)
I have this boat at my dock for sale. The overhead lights (see photos) seem to be AC powered, both controlled by a wall switch/slide dimmer. These lights have worked recently, but now they don't. Previous experience suggests that there is a combination of wall switches that control these lights, so you can turn them on from one place and off from another. The owner admits to a similar confusion. Does anyone here with this model have the secret? My next move is to search for the ever elusive tripped GFCI which may be in the mix.

I don't know about that model but I'm assuming they are residential type switches in a three way configuration where the dimmer is the lead switch and the other is a simple three way? Have you ruled out bad switches? Volt meter on terminals?

Problem solved. A GFI outlet was tripped.
