Ran across this site. Don't know if you 32 VDC folks know about it as this industry needs to be checked once in awhile for new technology.

It appears - i have not talked to them - that there is a 1000 watt DC to DC converter available now. It also appears you can custom tailor your DC input voltage. Seems that if 4 or 5 got together, you might be able to get a deal in this economy.

The problem with this approach in the past is that the output wattage was pretty low, likely not enough to run multiple radios. Saves a 12 volt battery and the charger. Eliminates the safety of having a "high" battery to run radios in an emergency, i.e. ER flooding, however.

Just an FYI. I see so many 32 to 12 conversion questions i thought this might help.

Newmar has made DC to DC converters for years. They are the standard equipment on our boats. They make several sizes and all are marine rated. I would stick with one of those before going out to other sources.
 
You're right that looks like great stuff with plenty of ampacity.

Makes me wonder why this reply doesn't come up with all of the folks asking about this issue?
