Sure is. I just bought a 1986 13 super sport this summer with a 40 for 4300.

I have more fun in the 13 whaler than any other boat I own.

That is a bargain. I paid $5K for my 13' SS Limited with a Nissan 40. And then spent another $1,200 cleaning it up.

Hey there fellow Roamer owner... We had a 68 or 72(?) foot Roamer pull in for storage yesterday. I was looking at the handrails and they look an awful lot like the Hatteras rails. Two years ago, someone swiped my companionway rail, hinge and latch. I need another latch (half). Can you please measure yours when possible to confirm size? It would make my search so much easier to find another builder with the same size.
"Close" wont make it. Its gotta be almost identical. Please look at R Smiths fleamarket post for some clear pics! Thanks a bunch... ws

Likewise, I've spent many a wonderful times, and still do, on a 15' Whaler Sport, a/k/a the "Mermaid" which is owned by "Hatteras Part No. 36-Long." Often in tow behind Sanctuary! Why....I think there is some Mermaiding in my future next week....those Whalers are great fun. However, I prefer a Hober for Sanctuary's tender, in conjunction with the Mermaid, of course. :) We let our 11' Whaler (which was very unstable unlike the 13' Whaler) go and took on a 14' Hober instead...no regrets.
