    Engine Room Blower Breaker Tripping

The 24V breaker at the distribution panel keeps tripping for my starboard engine room blower motor. Did the logical thing and replace the blower. Still trips the breaker. Opened up the service panel and there are two leads on each blower breaker. One leads goes to the flybridge control (I’m...

    Kentucky Suggestions

Looking for suggestions and advice on weathering this CV storm in Kentucky or even Tennessee. As some of you may know FreeBird, my wife and I are planning on bringing our 60 motor yacht from Stuart to Racine. The planned route was up the East Coast. With all that’s going on we’ve talked about...

    Binoculars?

Broke my Swarovski binoculars on my last trip so no chance (hopefully) there is enough time to get them repaired before we leave Florida. Suggestions on a replacement pair? Copy that Randy?

    892 Injectors

In preparation for our long journey north we are trying to get the motors prepped. Both motors will turn 2350rpms and run 150-160 degrees at 1500rpms and 170/180 at WOT consistently. We get a little soot from the port motor and no apparent sooting from the starboard side. We also get a greasy...

    Ships Logbook

I’m looking for an electronic version of a ships logbook. I like recording the hobbs meter on all of the motors after each trip. I’d also like a central location to track maintenance items and fuel purchased and used. I downloaded Boating Suite but seems a little clunky. Currently I’m using old...

    Flow Meters

Is it possible to install flow meters on these old DDs? I have 892s and would love to have them, very valuable info as Pascal has mentioned on another thread.

    Pinned Stabs

I realize this is a total noob question but that’s what I am. I had my stabilizers pinned for some work and now I cannot unpin one of them. Any suggestions?

    New Davit Question

Unfortunately when we purchased Benedetto it did not have a davit. It had been removed at some point however the 4” standpipe remains and is in good condition. I don’t want to be cheap but I don’t want to spend excess money on a davit. I’ve looked at some used davits and one might be a player...

Loss of steering at the lower helm

Went to use Benedetto the other day and had no steering at the pilot house helm. Fly bridge worked as advertised as well as the A/P. It’s hard to tell the fluid level in the reservoir but it might be low. There is less then 10psi on the gauge so there’s that as well. What’s weird is, no extra...

    AC Monitor Panel

On my AC monitor panel, the loss of AC power indicator light and horn come on during the press to test but do not function properly. I know as of Last visit to the boat it was working because I removed AC power and received a light and buzzer. At some point during our absence one of the two...

    Aluminum Windows Pulls

What is the best way to remove the aluminum window pulls on the saloon sliding windows? I assume they have to be removed in order for the windows to be taken out of the track. Plan to have the windows tinted and replace the felt at the same time.

    Rear Camera?

What are people using? I currently have all an all Garmin package with older cameras at the rear and both ER. All go through an IRIS 604 switcher but the video quality is poor. Thinking about at least a new rear camera. Maybe wireless? Thoughts?

Crew Stateroom AC Sprung a Leak

While flushing my ac units, the crew room ac sprung a pin hole leak and sprayed barnacle buster all over the genny room. It would seem that the two remaining original ac unit's coil walls are paper thin. Its obvious I'll have to replace the forward ac and air handler because of the leak. My...

    Wema Fuel/Water Gauges

I was cleaning up the spaghetti wiring mess that was behind my pilot house helm. It involved my water and fuel gauges. I’m guessing at some point somebody converted the fuel tank sight gauges to electric gauges at the helm. I’m not sure what the original freshwater gauge set up was. Currently...

    ER Gauges

Okay now that you all have helped me solve the TP issue. It’s time to install manual ER gauges with alarms and a start switch. I figure the minute I start the engines I go down to check things out why not just put a start switch with the most important gauges in each motor room. The question is...

    Salon sectional

Good morning! We are new owners of an 89 Hatteras 60 foot motor yacht. While my husband updates the electronics and mechanical stuff, I am trying to replace some of the furniture. I'm looking for suggestions to see if anyone has put a sectional couch in the salon. If so, can I please see...

How The $@# Do I Remove Head Pump

I need to have two of the three Galley Maid pumps rebuilt. It seems the hoses are weld to the pumps, my guess is the pumps have never been removed. If I cut the hoses I might come up short and have to run new ones. Any tips for removal so as not to have to cut them?
