As Pascal said I have Aqua Alarm flow alarms that actually go off if the cooling water flow stops. They are not expensive and easy to install and yes have a very small alarm panel of there own.

I mounted my stern cleats, that I got from Sam’s, on the rail aft instead of on the aft deck. That rail is crazy strong and thick. I through bolted them. On our 53 the PO cut back the area to the right of the helm(left side of photo) it used to come out to the edge of the carpeting. This also required the overhead area in the galley to be widened, but it allowed us to get the refer shown down easily. John

Check out BoatworksToday Today on Youtube. He just posted the video where he used the Alexseal rolling additive. He was able to just roll out the paint with no tipping and the results were pretty amazing. John

There is an “L” bracket with a screw in fitting that a lot of these boats use in different locations, that might work well for your ladder.

Finally got my new doors done. A guy at my Yacht Club has a full wood shop in his garage and made them for me. I bought the wood and set the glass myself. I really like the glass in the bottom panels. John

I am tempted to buy a boat that is for sale in San Diego. Asking $65,000 with brand new Cummins 6BT-210 engines with 2 hours on them. How much are those engines worth? Seems like they would be worth what they are asking for the boat.
