I believe that if they work, it runs. If they fail, it shuts down.
What I mean is that if you could bypass or ground one out to test, it wouldn't be testing the switch itself, but the wiring circuit which is obviously okay or it wouldn't be running.

Even OEM split systems had to have insulation on the pipes. This Pex product seems like a great way to go for a chiller(but I have no direct experience with it). Chillers in general make much more sense than our old splits with all of the compressors and long runs of pressurized gas.
Those cracks are just in the outer trim ring. That does nothing to seal the actual portlight. Caulk the joint between the trim ring and the protruding port if it leaks.
