    DatCon Hour Meter

Port engine hour meter is not working. I think it runs off a pressure switch connected to the fuel line. Can someone tell me what the switch looks like? Is it the gold colored switch in the photo? Is there a way to test it?

Detroit heat exchanger tank fill neck

Fill neck on the Detroit heat exchanger tank broke off. Any suggestions on how I should go about removing the broken neck and installing the new one. Has anyone run across this before and replaced one of these. Is it pressed in? Is any sealant needed to keep it in place once pressed in?

    Plexiglass light fixture cover

The plexiglass cover over the light fixture in the masterhead is cracked 43 DCMY) Has anyone replaced these? If so, where can I find one? Is a straight piece of plexiglass flexible enough to be made to bend into shape or does the curved shape have to be manufactured this way?

    Replacing motor mounts.

I think they are Ace mounts. Original equipment. Have you done this before with Capital Gear and DD671Ti inside a 43 DC? I do not believe the salon floor will support the weight. Have read where engine + gear is 3800 pounds. Do not believe blocking between the hull and engine is such a good...

    Replacing motor mounts.

Anyone ever raise the motor's (671s) in a 43 Hatteras DCMY to replace the motor mounts? If so, would be interested in the method and equipment used (gantry designs, jigs, rigging, etc.).

Have a leaking shaft seal on a Capitol HE 10200 drive shaft. Need to remove coupling to access the seal. Is the shaft tapered? Am trying to remove with an 8" spread pulley puller, but won't budge. Have applied copious amounts of PB Blaster. No luck. Any advise for removing this couple?

Any one have any idea how much a shaft coupling nut should be torqued on a 1 3/4" tapered shaft?

    Bearing for shaft's recessed strut.

Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a cutlass bearing in the recessed strut where the shaft passes through the hull on a 1981 43 DCMY? The manual shows a water cooled rubber bearing (i.e. cutlass bearing). (See attached pls) Mine does not have one. Have any other 43 DCMY owners run...

Marine anti-seize lube for props and shafts

Is it common practice to use marine grade anti-seize when installing props? If so, what brand is preferred? Have run across Jet-Lube, Loctite and Permatex. All marine grade.
