Anyone have actual information on what the original MSRP was for a 1979 53’ MY (Classic style not ED or YF)?

My father paid $ 268.224,00 for our 1977 58 YF in March 1977. Including the Naiad stabilizers and a 13' whaler tender with engine. Its not the same boat but you can use it as a ball park figure. I hope this helped

I have the original bill og sale for my 58YF, a '73, $198,???, it is on the boat so I don't have the exact amount. It didn't have stabilizer, dink, davit or windlass. She all of them now.
I likely have spent 5 times that caring for her in the last 22 years.

It depends on when in 1979 it was built. They had several price increases that year, the largest being mid-year when they upgraded the electrical system.

Ask and ye shall receive. I’ve got about all the Hatt brochures up to the mid 80’s as a kid the sales guys at the boat show would get one of the ladies to shoo me away from the brochure racks. Meanwhile I was stuffing my bag full. Strictly convertibles though. My’s have never been my thing

Brochures were gold. There was one on my 26 Trojan that included the F44 SF (only 5 built, I did not know it at the time) but man when I saw those lines I was hooked. I need that some day. Did a bit better with classic Hatt's. In my mind I own the best 46 SF ever built. Love classic go fast boats too but let my friends pay those bills.

I also stuffed my bag with Hatt brochures as a kid. My dad stored his 43DC in the winters at a big Hatteras dealer. In the showroom they had a rack with all of the brochures. I would grab whatever I could. And at boat shows too.

Yes, what is the hull #? If the shore power inlets are on the pilot house side it’s a June/July or later model.

Me too. When Dryland Marina got the line in 1980 they had the boxes of brochures and price lists in the showroom. Needless to say I got the full set that day. Practically wore out that new 53 brochure looking at it that summer.

I would also pay the $12 and get a full set from the factory every year.

Yes, what is the hull #? If the shore power inlets are on the pilot house side it’s a June/July or later model.

The power inlets are on each side of the pilot house, although I was unaware that not all 53 MY had it there.

Early 1979 53’s had them just below the toe rail. It was a mid-year change with an upgraded electrical system.
