One of two blower motors in my the salon overhead ac unit, above lower station helm, started to scream (bearings) after a mere 36 years of faithful service. Now that I have managed to remove it, I have a few questions for the group:
1. Does anyone have a source for a new blower motor (near impossible to find a 1/12 hp 230v motor in this frame size) - I'll post a pic of the motor label in the next post. Old motor is at a shop to see if it can be rebuilt, at least the bearings, but having two new replacements would be helpful.
2. What solutions or mediocre ideas have people used to replace the overhead evaporator coil/blower assembly with something decidedly non-Dometic? Condenser skid is ~8 years old and I don't want to replace that. Current Evaporator coils and blowers (two each) assembly is a sealed box with original near zero room for anything else or any mods so a replacement is inevitable.
