- OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
- Hatteras Model
- 41' TWIN CABIN (1965 - 1971)
I originally wanted this set up so I could re-live experiences from my first "big boat" ownership when
I was in my late teens. My pride and joy in those days was my 1964 wooden Pacemaker 36' flybridge sedan.
I kept that boat in Middle River, Md. A favorite weekend destination back then was Fairlee
Creek across the Bay - about a 2 hour cruise. Short story long - I would put a roasting chicken in the
oven on the rotisserie before getting underway. It ran on the genset, and by the time I got to Fairlee, the
chicken was done and dinner was served. I was hot s#it at age 19.
Now, I'm a fat bald cranky 68 year old who worried that my 1966 Princess Stove was a fire hazard. Stove
was replaced with a much newer model that doesn't have the rotisserie option. <sigh> You can't relive the
past. But the memories are cherished.
The thought of trashing this vintage stuff is painful. Anyone want it?
