  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
60' MOTOR YACHT (1987 - 1989)
So, I’ve got another question about a thing I’ve never heard of before, that is – a windstorm plan.
The insurance company would like me to put one together. They even gave me a form. Seems fairly straightforward. Except… I’ve never put one of these damn things together before. What is the typical “additional information“ that an insurance carrier would like to see in a windstorm plan?
What the hell kind of stuff do you put in one of these things?

If, as I plan, I am going to be traveling about and doing the loop, how the hell do I know where I am going to put the boat 100 miles away from a designated path? The form appears to want a specific destination – location .

This East Coast boating is gonna be kind of interesting.

I have used things like two lines per cleat tied to concrete seawalls with storm anchors on that form. I know some people that are on a hurricane haul at list at a marina and put that on there. I have also used putting the boat in a hurricane hole or behind a flood gate on there as well. I think the plan is for your home port as far as location

Remove and secure all loose items on deck and double lines is what they want to read.
BTW, They will hold this against you if you have any wind damage claims so phrase your words carefully.
On the loop, Your origin and destination would be the same or close. Then a time frame, (1 year?) with unplanned stops along the way.
Minimal and vague comments with no details would be my start.
