Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
I've tried cleaners, vinegar, windex etc. The only thing so far that seems to kind of work is actually a slightly abrasive metal polish. It worked along the bottom but the rest of the rubber it's not working on.Any suggestions?

I just replaced them when I resealed my windows but they had deteriorated to the point of crumbling. Sam's has the moulding.

That would probably be faster, I spent an hour with little progress on one window LOL.

Just replaced all of mine last winter. The only color available now is black. Good news is that it doesn't discolor like that gray rubber.

I have been using this for years now. Will make your power cord look like new without destroying the rubber. I tried to post a pic of the seats I cleaned with it on a Formula I bought this winter to replace the Intrepid Ian ate! One side of the seat is white and the other grey! Amazing product! Make sure to ware heavy rubber gloves suing it and change rags often keeping the rag wet with product works the best. It took about 1 1/2 cans to clean all the seating of the 33 Formula. Works on plastic as well. Turned the plastic molding on the Intrepid rub rail from grey looking to white as snow! Be careful on colors! Don't rub to hard too long! Try in a small spot first. It used to cost $20 a can before the new owners bought it. Still worth it though as nothing else comes close to this stuff.
Flitz metal polish also works on plastic. Try it on on your strata glass or acrylic windows even by hand without a buffer it turned out amazing.
Happy Cleaning all!!

White rubber never stays clean on any boat I've ever had, mildew grows on it. Even when you do get it clean, it's going to look like crap again a week or two later. I would just replace it with black and call it a day. All the moulding and seals on my boat are already black thank goodness.

Thank you I just ordered some of the cleaner. I might just replace the window moldings, but have many other places I can use it. I'll probably try it on the moldings first I suppose.
