  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
34' CONVERTIBLE (1965 - 1969)
Every picture I ever uploaded is small and if you zoom in it gets blurry. Yet I see other posted pictures that start out larger and nicer. What's the trick?

I use a hosting service and just post the link to the picture. I used Photobucket until they started charging for their service. Now I use Imgur. I have the app on my phone so I upload from there to the web and then post the link to that picture.

Nice. Got to learn this. Wanting to post pix of my engine room paint and Detail.

Sky, the nice thing about you engine room is that it will now stay like that with the new engines.

That's just not fair Sky, I haven't felt bad about mine since Robert left now this. Damn

I think a lot of us are very envious and jealous.

Hopefully they won't trash you over there for spending so much on an outdated non outboard dinosaur that you don't have to leave idling all night. The positive comments will probably be those of us that are members of both sites

Looks great. I like the white but I kept the gray as that was what was there.

The color is a preference. Once clean and new painted condition it’s easy to spot leaks as well as clean up. That’s the important part.

Can you improve the resolution on the iPhone camera? That may help.

You can improve resolution. Apple has a plan for that; Buy the latest model.

When I ask a customer to take a picture of their CG Doc and text it to me - the iphone pic resolution is so poor that I can't even read the text. My Pixel 5a shoots pics in super high rez. All of my website pics are shot with my phone.

iPhone 14 Pro is like 48 mega pixels.

It’s an iPhone 11 but that is not an issue. I can upload to other sites right from the phone. I set up an account on Imgur like suggested but the app won’t work on my IOS version.
Most times someone sends a crappy picture it’s because the camera lens is dirty.

Here is a test direct upload from my Pixel 5a. This site seems to dumb down the resolution and file size.

Yes, and sometimes it makes stuff into thumbnails almost, resolution wise.

This is the problem:

I believe that that could be changed by the site administrators.

Perhaps it should be updated?

The problem with posting the stuff from external servers and everything is that eventually when those links die, the posts often become useless.

The issue is the server space that picture files consume.
