  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
50' MOTOR YACHT (1964 - 1968)
2 hours to get the dryer out and 6 hours cleaning mold, mildew, duck tape residue, dryer lint, etc. The picture does not reveal it good but from the overhead to the deck, it was covered in orange and black mildew and mold.
Used 1 to 4 bleach/water, spic & span all purpose spray, wd-40, dawn dish detergent, razor scrapper, mr. clean magic eraser plus lots of labor and it's done. The woodwork came out really clean with just wiping down with the bleach solution.
Back to way in looked in 1965.
Will be painting the cabinet interiors wilh Kilz mildew resistant primer and a Kilz mildew resistant top coat. in a few weeks, will post pictures of the cabinet interiors before and after.

It looks great. A lot of work getting it to look like that.

Thanks.
I found a wet Mr. Clean Magic Eraser cleans and polishes the aluminum without removing too much anodizing finish. worked good on the chromed brass also.

It looks really good, a job well done!

That was an "interesting" conversion.

The forward stateroom locker for the washer/dryer was used by the previous owners for the forward A/C in the lower portion and as storage in the upper portion. They placed the washer & dryer in the forward head. I am returning everything to the way it would have came from the factory.

Can anyone suggest how best I should exhaust the dryer lint out of the boat?
any and all advice and ideas will be much appreciated.

Mine's a hole with scupper just under the rub rail.

Look at how your bilge blowers vent out. Its pretty much the same.

So a 6" clam-shell vent and I'm good to go.
Thank you.

Has anyone ever had an issue or complaint about the dryer lint venting onto a marina dock or in the water?

Just trying to avoid any foreseeable problems when I move onto and live aboard.
