It's all about how nice the boat is. My 1979 41 Chris Commander with gas (fresh rebuilds and lots of new stuff) brought $59,000. Depending on survey condition, these boats are worth anywhere from $0-$60,000 these days. When were the engines last rebuilt? How many hours? Any modern electronics? New Appliances? How old are the AC units? Lots of factors contribute to cash value.

One thing about price... You can always go down but you can't go up!

You're right about not being able to go up in price! But, you have to start somewhere....

Completely remanufactured starboard engine with everything new last year, 2 years left on the warranty about 25 hrs. 1740 hrs on the port. Full furuno navnet networked package, floscans, a good bit over 10k invested in electronics alone. AC are original except the one in the salon which was replaced by the PO. Appliances are in perfect working condition, original Princess 3 burner stove and oven, fridgidaire washer/dryer combo. Hopefully that helps fill in the blanks a bit.

I guess I'm a bit biased, but we traveled a good 2 1/2 years around the country looking at boats before we settled on the 58. We only saw 2 in comparable condition to this one and they were both in the Great Lakes. I wouldn't necessarily call it pristine, but if it broke it got fixed or replaced. If it was dull or faded, it got polished. I'm just trying to get a few lookers, as the Bird said, we're not exactly in a hotbed for boats up here. Can't sell it without getting some interested people on it. It's a very similar boat to a 410 Commander. Thanks for the advice & tips, I never intended on selling it, but we decided we wanted a bigger boat & now I don't need 2!
