  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' YACHT FISHERMAN (1970 - 1981)
What a shame.

What would you do with it once you're done removing the top? Seems like it would be cheaper and better in the long run to have your top extended. She must be very rough for 7K.

That boat was at Demopolis Yacht Basin in Demopolis, AL last I saw this spring.

I saw a listing on that boat about 3 months ago with pictures of the new fly bridge all molded up and ready to install, assumed it was included with the boat, if so it may not be a terrible buy. John

Only want to purchase the top if willing to part out.

I have had thoughts of extending mine, I pretty sure I would cut off the end, likely about 3 feet, move back and fill in the missing piece with a mold made section.

My suggest concern is the look of the boat afterwards.

I had the same concern when I moved my bridge forward 25". The funny thing is nobody has ever asked about the bridge location.

I was quoted $37000 to do just that. If I can find a top I can modify it to fit and look factory, I'll be ahead of the game.

There's a thread on this subject discussed in detail .

Glory, do you have pics to share in regards to moving the flybridge forward. I've been thinking of doing that also The boat in demopolis is a mess. I looked at a year ago. The owner didn't represent the boat truthfully. The part that was scary was the boat had filled up with about three to four feet of rain water over a two year period. It was pumped out just before I looked at it. I wouldn't think it would make a good donor for the flybridge I bet the core is rotted. It would be easier to make a three foot mold of yours
