Looks great Eric! I'm guessing the paint isn't as old as the boat👍

The paint is 20+ years old. Always on the upper Chesapeake, shed kept. This is a pampered girl that has enjoyed excellent stewardship for her entire life. I can only take credit for continuing it.

Very nice! What a beauty!

DAN

Very nice. Too bad there aren't more as well kept.

You should be pround. What a beautiful yacht. A real head turner.

Shiny! Looks great...handrails, too!

But I had to chuckle at the boat next to yours. Why do people put radar at crotch level on flybridge boats?

Good question.

Back when only old guys with money could buy these things, I suppose 4kw or more aimed at the family jewels might not be an issue to be concerned about.

Also saves a few boat bucks on birth control costs.....lol

LOL - I suspect RADAR pointed at the jewels is not a good thing but I always heard the real risk is to your eyesight.

Maybe Dr. Jim can set us straight.

Nice job Eric.

Now don't do anything dumb like take it out of the shed and expose it to salt spray and seagull poop.

Eric,

Lovely pics! What product was used and on what type of paint?

Who did your work?

Not like this is relevant to me anymore but I am curious as it is a beautiful job. Just wax or any compounding?

Cheryl

The original Amana microwave ovens weren't called radar ranges for nothing! I understand in the Navy in first using radar, the men would place their meals in front of the radar to heat the food.

X2, wow, gorgeous!! Would love learn more about the details (of the detail?). btw - we were just at PNY 2 weeks ago checking it out. Super-nice harbor master. PNY was on our short list for this summer and fall, great spot. We came back to FL to our boat with a completely failed port battery bank so had to postpone the trip for the time being. May be the topic of another thread...

The boat was painted at Worton Creek Marina sometime over 20 years ago during a previous owner's stewardship. The paint is Awlcraft 2000 in "Off White" The detailing was done by Alliance Marine here on Kent Island. I don't know what they did or what product they used. There were three or four guys on her for most of a day. I don't know what it cost as I have not yet received an invoice. To be fair, she looked pretty good even before they detailed it.

Shed kept. Looks great!

Many of the radars had blanking for that purpose. It's also possible they don't have a screen on the bridge so it won't be used except from the lower station.

I believe that is the case. Plus, he's an old guy. I'm sure he's been shooting blanks for years.
