First of all Oscarvan, The look of overall filth and the junk strewn everywhere on board does not seem to indicate an owner with tax issues! Or up to date Insurance for that matter! A lot of donation places won't accept a boat that doesn't arrive at their dock under it's own power anymore. The extensive water damage and mold everywhere makes her a human health hazard...including every remaining component. You can see where the waterline came up to in the forward head, which means the water came up over the generator and at least fried the washer/dryer too. Not even if the owner gave YOU $65,000 to haul it away!
I empathize with Jim Rosenthall, as I too would love to rescue every boat. But c'mon guys...there are lots of boats out there that are so horrible it isn't worth trying.
Unfortunately, the only option for this owner is to strip her usable parts (if there are any), and scuttle her. It's so sad.
