"when I was a kid and Hatteras crazy" Does this mean you're no longer Hatteras crazy?

I thought it was interesting the lrc's were proof of concept and no actual pics

I would love a 48LRC...... You're saying none were built?

Would you have a 1979 53 MY with a fly bridge you could scan and e mail me? If so My email address is stirstick@aol.com. Thanks for checking.

That 53 Classic in the calendar with no FB is, I believe now holtcl's boat.

Hi rsmith...we have a 1981 56' MY do u have anything on our boat i would love to get it if you do...kjcampos01@gmail.com...thanks

Joe
1981 56' MY
Lake Gloria II

I'll look for requests I wont be back home for a few weeks. BTW the the LRC's were made for sure but the brochures predates the production.amazing how close the artist rendering was to the finish product. Bad thing was I was a kid when I collected these and many got cut up and thumbtacted to my bedroom walls.

Very Interesting! I'm sure SAM's would like to add some of this to the brochures archive if they don't already have it.

Thanks for sharing.

It's not the same. With the new boats anyhow. New models back then were so different it was like "wow cool" now they all kind of look the same. Same way with cars. The old man a I used to go around to all the showrooms in Sept when they "unveiled" the new models. I remember for a month before all the cars in the showrooms had sheets on them and it was a big deal when the sheets came off. As BB King sang "the thrill is gone"

40 years ago I could look in a rearview mirror in pitch darkness and see two headlights/side lights and tell you what kind of car it was. (Especially handy when pushing the edge of the motor vehicle code)

Now all I can tell you is that it's a car.......

As for me, after a few years owning one, I have drifted over to just plain crazy.

That happened to me with vintage Rolls Royces.....

I also have vintage Rolls brochures.

I got service manuals......and posters......no car right now though. Do have a '64 Series II Landie sitting on the lift.....
