She is a beauty. I pass her every time we go out. The owners live and keep her a couple of miles from my dock.

Wow..............such detail work.

Very nice indeed.

How do you launch the dinghy?

Eric

It appears that the davit is low profile and mounted directly behind the runabout. Seems to be the same height as the structure to blend in.

Hi All,

OMG I would spend the rest of my life and die on that masterpiece, stunning, absolutely stunning.:D

I see a trip to the marina tomorrow... Heck, it's less than 2 miles from me...

That's what the Walgreens did on their Burger - "Sis W"

If you go to the Burger Yacht website they have a "stories" section. There is an
absolutely wonderful article here about the Walgreens in their later years aboard their
last Burger build SIS W. The boat was designed for Walgreens both in wheel chairs traveling with
their nurses.

The couple was aboard the boat from Wisconsin down the East Coast and to South America cruising. These people clearly had financial resources that are rare but used them in a way that enabled them and their family to enjoy the last years of their lives together.

Sort of the ultimate floating long-term care facility. We should all be so lucky!

You're right. Most of us have to get off the water when we get old and sick and fragile. It's a shame, really. Glad someone got to do it. I can't think of a better way to spend a lot of money.

Jim

I think we are going to bypass the Hatteras in the 53-67 foot range and go straight to the Burger tri-deck. It should have an elevator and room for the grandchildren. Will take me to my 90s.

I can work another 2-3 years and probably make it happen.. business is that good.

I only hope when my daughter gets tired of me and she pushes me off the top deck (in my wheel chair) that it is not in the Amazon. I could not bear the thought of piranhas nibbling on my tired old
carcass.

We plan on going this evening as Centre St was MOBBED with people yesterday. Now that the car show is over and the time change, we plan on taking the Whaler over to look at them this evening. (So watch it leave this morning before we get there)

Nice! This year's show also featured Ford GT40s, as it is the 50th anniversary of the introduction of those cars, which won LeMans 1966-1969. I think there are some photos of GT40s on the Amelia web site and also Sports Car Digest, or there will be soon. Lovely cars, one of the most beautiful race cars ever made, and a totally uncivilized ride on the street....

Jim, if you watch Chasing Classic Cars with Wayne Carini, he was at the Amelia show filming an episode and had two cars in the RM Auction for his clients. Not sure when it will air.

Jack,

Is that the boat that is docked at the old McCloons all the time?

Yes, it's one of Ray Catina's boats. I hear your boat is in High Point. She'll be sweet when done.
