If I owned a pair pf big cats I'd probably buy her.

$40K too much! It'll cost 10 times that to get her back in order. Looks like the forward deck is split open but hard to tell from the picture. I like how they posted the pics of what she looked like before she went down.

Looks like she was underwater for a while.

Isn't she owned by a forum member here? I swear I saw a picture of this boat being hoisted down from the deck of a container ship on this forum.

Was'nt that the one that hit something in the gulf and went down offshore at night? their was a pic of the bridge that we debated on the boat brand.

There you go, Tim, a place to put those engines of yours. You know, the extra pair.

No, seriously, this boat belongs to a member here... I am sure of it. I remember an exchange from a couple years ago.

Anyone got a pair of 3412's sitting around?

I bet that is the 55 that hit a container and sank on delivery while crossing the Gulf.

There was a pic of a 60C open bridge, in the slings being hoisted on/off a ship. Maybe that's what you're thinking of? I think this might be the boat that sank of of

Good call. That is the Reel TNT that sank off of Port St Joe. She was down for a few weeks before they pulled her up. Pretty sad the way she went down. Don't see the damage in the pics from the listing but she must have had a good sized hole in her for her to flood as quickly as she did. I believe there was a friend of a fellow HOFer who was on the boat. If memory serves me, he said the crew woke up from the impact and the boat was flooding so fast the forward hatch was inaccessible almost instantly. Found this old listing that matches some of the pics in the listing Tim posted.

That was a damn nice boat, from the old YW photos. What a shame.

Makes you think about where all that debris that you see on calm days goes when its snotty and hid by the whitecaps.

Yes, that was the one. The 60C was in slings being lowered from the side of a container ship.

I am very careful to clean anything that salt water comes in contact with. Virtually anything that gets doused with the salt water that is not protected by zincs, made of bronze, stainless, fiberglass or plastic is going to fail quickly.

I just cannot imagine working with a boat that had been submerged in salt water ... unless is was a new boat obtained for pennies.
