It just looked like a lot of fiberglass and good low hour power for the price. Frankely you could not give it to me personally just to darn big.

I believe there are two 77' CMY's in Florida of about the same vintage and price. One in Tampa with the repower and one in Ft. Lauderdale with the original engines. Similar engine hours too... I think.

There are 3 on yacht world there is about a 200000 diffrence I belive they were all in florida .

It belongs to a former HOF member!

I believe that boat has been lengthened quite a bit. If the stretch was done properly that is a lot of boat for the money.

Never mind. That's not the boat I was thinking about

That's a hell of a lot of boat for the money! She was repowered with the right engines and from what I've heard, it was a top job. She's owned by one of the most knowledgeable HOFers to grace this site. No longer a member here, if anyone is interested I wouldn't hesitate to look seriously at this one. The repower alone was about $750K.

Is this Carl's old boat? Just curious. Seems a great deal of boat for the money, and new Cats in the bargain.

No. Carl had a 67. This boat is a factory 77. I have been aboard numerous times.

Probably not too much less than the ask. FYI if memory serves me, she can cruise around 20-21Kts or run 10Kts and burn about 15GPH.

I can't imagine trying to keep NINE (9) cruise air units running properly!!

Why not? I have 2 that get cleaning and not much else in Florida where they get used a lot. 2-3 years between issues is not unheard of.

What about forming a LLC and purchase the thing leave it between florida and New york Or better yet in the islands. 40 people at 10000 or 10 at 40000 or 4 at 100000. Just for hoferS it would be one heck of a play house go stay a week on her or better yet stop by and hang out with the gang. Hof headquaters!!!!
We could park it in Hilton Head and let Big Bill look after it right down his alley. Scott could do the maintanc Jack for the crunching the numbers and I be old Sam Mcfersion may want a peice to furnish the parts. Shall i keep on. That is where the renunions could be held.O almost forgot Capt Randy Freebird could have a spare day now and then. For his extra special activies....
If you got interest sign up and put your $ amount beside it.

Just for fun

I'd need to see some pictures of the engine room first. It always makes me nervous if they're not willing to show the machinery.

Regarding the cruise air, they just don't seem to be as reliable as I'd like, especially given their cost. Relay switch here, low freon there, water pump gone bad, smx panel gone bad again... etc. Given that every time I turn around there seems to be an issue; again I can't imagine trying to keep 9 running, much less in FL.

I've never been on her but based on what I've heard, the owner and the numerous pics I've seen, the ER is fantastic.

Even more reason to show pictures of it in the listing. Sparkly clean engines with an immaculate logo'd deck and spotless bilges all speak to the quality of the machinery and the boat's maintenance. Somebody once observed that "The money's in the iron." So I tend to look at systems first and upholstery second.

But I have to say the upholstery looks pretty good too.
