Don't know about at the dock, but at anchor they helped make the roll more tolerable on a gulf star trawler.

I see West Marine wants over $15 per rocker.... I just checked out Ebay and you can get a package of 5 (so the picture shows.. I just sent an email to the seller to verify that, if so, I'm buying two sets as soon as they assure me) for $45

Got a reply from the seller on Ebay... He wants $45 for EACH.... Who would of thought West Marine would be cheaper than Ebay.... Scary actually

Couiousity got the best of me. I checked out the site, read id closely and assumed it was for 5. I sent a message to the seller and learned otherwise. Interesting that after yours and my inquiry, the offer still is misleading. EBay is a bazaar and includes a mix of sellers, and deals go both ways. There is another eBay seller offering them for $13 each.

I have been on a boat with "flopper stoppers" which were larger steel plates on booms 15 ft. out BOTH sides of the boat. They worked well, even underway, but had very large sturdy steel booms and plates making the boat look ugly, but this was a boat designed and used for long range blue water cruising. I imagine the rocker stoppers would help some at the dock, only if the water is deep enough to deploy them correctly.

I would only want them for when we're anchored out.... and just tie them to the spring cleats...

These are called paravanes, very different from flopper stoppers. And intended for off shore use underway. If you can do some 'jury rigging' to mount the flopper stoppers further from the gunnel, they will be even more effective at anchor. Did I hear they are noisy?

Paravane stabilizers

Hatteras 53 Classic
Has anybody fitted Paravanes or Active Stabilizers to their Hatteras.
I note Nordhavn have them mounted off the upper deck / Flybridge deck.
Appreciate feedback for Hatteras models only
Thanks very much
