Ohana was in for an insurance survey (first time in seven years, and no problems noted), plus a bow thruster and underwater light install.
While I was at it I tackled the front of the house. The original window glass-in job was failing (cracking the paint anyway) at the corners. Sanding off the paint so we could see what was going on revealed that the original job was lacking, to say the least, so it was ground out, re glassed, faired, and painted.
The "while we're in there's" included painting out all the bilges, chain locker, and lazarette, a prop tune up, also I machined and anodized new billet outrigger lower brackets.
I went with a 24V Sidepower 10 inch dual prop thruster and four Deep Sea Power and Light LED lights.
All told roughly $30k
On the way back from the yard I ran her up to full rpm (2369 indicated on digital tachs) and saw 25.2 knots gps in 42 foot depth flat water.
Now for the massive clean up to wipe the yard scum off her. There's nothing like having fiberglass and paint guys traipsing through the boat for three weeks to leave a huge mess.
