I have the rebuild kit for the raw water pump on my Onan 7.5 MDJE. The shaft sheared in half so disassembly was not clean. Now I am not clear how the two part seal and spring go back. If I understand correctly, the rubber and white portion of the two part seal gets dropped into the deep end of the bore to sit near the output hole, with the rubber side facing the bearings, then the slinger is slid over the bearing shaft, and the shaft and bearings slide into the bore and the shaft passed through the rubber coated seal and out the output hole of the housing. Then on the impeller side, the smaller end of the two part seal is passed over the shaft and snugged up, then the spring seated against the large of the seal, then the small metal plate, with the edge cupped to the spring, then the external retaining clip. Can someone verify?
I've attached pics of the broken off shaft end, and the apparent order of disassembly, and the new parts. there is also a white cardboard wafer that came in the rebuild kit, sized loosely to the hole on the impeller end of the housing. My pump did not have this piece. Is it junk or part of the rebuild? It does not show on my exploded diagram, and the two piece seal is not broken down in the diagram from the old MDJE manual I have.
Guidance on rebuild order appreciated.

The stationary piece gets pushed into the pump bore with the white side out. Put a small amount of white grease on the seal face. Push the carbon seal down the shaft until they touch. I nstall spring and retainer and secure with the snap ring. The seperate black ring is the slinger and goes on the shaft between the bearing and seal.

Got it. Many thanks. The rubber component was stuck in the bore. All good now.

And here are the photos of the order of installation. In the first pic the allen wrench represents the body of the pump. Everything left is on the impeller side of the pump, everything right is in the bore. Second photo is the assembly of the seal parts.pump install order.webpSeal breakdown.webp

Can somebody tell a supplier of Sea Water pump parts for an Onan 7.5MDJE 3CR/2268. Looking for a repair kit including Shaft & Bearing assembly, Seal and Impeller. I am from Canada Ontario. Will have to ship.
