Absolutely, thanks for the kudos! Wow, so glad you reminded me because I had forgotten that this was a Hatteras Owners Forum. By the way, did you know that owning a Hatteras is NOT a requirement? LOL

You of all people know how much fun it is to joke around with each other. I know he's your buddy Randy but he got out of line and disrespected the forum, it's members and other Hatteras owners, as noted by several members. Zero Balance made quite an impression with his posts and has since become somewhat of a joke within our Gulf Coast group. Of course, you wouldn't see the humor.

Zero Balance is my buddy? Seems to me he didn't disrespect anybody on here and just voiced his opinion about non-owners voting on where a HOF rendezvous would take place. Seems logical to me.

It also seems I recall you being critical for yours truly for having attended a number of these events and not showing up with my Hatteras. This despite the closest one was over 800 miles away. But you're right Byron, we can all appreciate some good humour on here. With that in mind, I hope you enjoy this little clip...

Regarding the Hatteras thing, sorry I picked that scab. Trying to make a joke, and I am kind of proud of the sign that our Michigan friend made for us.

The sign is, to my knowledge, a one of a kind. Mark and his family went out with us last summer and made it as a thank you.

If you like, I'll ask him if he wants to go into the sign business.

Randy and Byron are good guys, but they don't mix well in threads and tend to hijack them with their back and forth barbs. Of course you wouldn't have to bring your boat. It is certainly encouraged but it is not a requirement at all, just as it is not a requirement to own a Hatteras. You have never brought your boat to any of the multiple Hatteras rendezvous that you have attended so far, so why in the world would you start now?

You are spot on, thanks for posting that. Funny thing is we mix vodka and socialization together quite well in person in the past, but these forum threads do seem to pull out a little something "special"!

I'd be willing to bet Thirdhat has no idea of the specifics of Randy's divorce, that comment is uncalled for and below the belt. Doesn't the posting guide mention something about personal attacks.

My wife and I have been contemplating a trip to New Orleans. When the dates for the Gulf Coast came up we discussed doing the trip and stopping by for the rendezvous. Given the recent comments in this post and some of them in the other post, I am not so sure I'd feel welcome attending.

You might do better with a Hatteras owner setting this thing up.

You have your facts confused again. Trident built custom composite and racing yachts. Tom Fexas was a Nuclear Project Engineer on Trident Class Submarines. Tom Fexas happened to design the first two yachts that Trident Shipworks built.

Boatnut, you posted a great and accurate response to that thread and then deleted it shortly thereafter for some reason. You admittedly had a great time with us last year. There is no reason whatsoever for you not to feel welcome attending the rendezvous again when we all had such a great time together last year.

My mistake, I thought I remembered "Boatnut" from last year. I guess I don't have a very good memory either.

There has been an open joke about Randy not bringing his boat to the many rendezvous he attends for many, many years now. It is just that, a joke.

Peoples opinions change, as yours has about this issue. You were vocal about it, then changed your mind. No big deal.

I am not sure what you think that I am doing to organize this years rendezvous but the fact is that I am no more involved in the planning and organizing of this years get together than you or anyone else who votes on a date or location. That's it.

BigBill has officially spearheaded the organization of this event in the past and is still the one doing it now, so I am not sure who you thought did in years past or is doing it now because nothing has changed with respect to that.
