I just went into the local/W. MI WW Williams Detroit Diesel/MTU dealer the other day for some service talk. They had a bad boy, 12v92 all built up, sitting on a roll around cradle in the front entrance. It had chrome valve covers and was all in bright white. Man, it shore wus purty...made me drool! I bet that would rattle the windows warming up. Of course, its a 4 cycle, so wouldn't sound the same as an old 2 cycle DD. Oh, well...

If it's the location at Byron Center, that's been out there for a few years. I thought it was a 60 series though, not a 92.

Since both my 'new' digital cameras crapped out, I tried to a) get either repaired or b) buy a new one. Salesman badmouthed the repair route, and frankly wouldn't support he concept and then wouldn't let me look at anything they weren't pushing. Waste of time that day.

So I got out the old Nikkormat and pumped in some film... will take some std. pix, then scan, until can get another camer.

Ok, I called WWWilliams. The front desk tells that, in fact, that the white and chrome monster in the entrance is a "built up" 2 cycle DD 12v92, at 1,500hp. Says they put a couple in a recreational marine vessel.
