To start with, my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the four Lakewood officers killed in the line of duty. The sad state of American affairs is quite depressing. How is it that a man who is sentenced, to what should have been the rest of his natural life, is released to victimize a child and then murder 4 innocent people? And why has there not been more of a public outcry to hang the idiots that were helping him. Everyone says "he was mentally unstable." He was deemed a danger to himself and others but didn't warrant being committed? Who made that decision? It's comforting to know that 30,000 more young American service men and women will be risking their lives to allow people like Maurice Clemmons and his accomplices to walk our streets.

The accomplices should get to sit and think of their actions for a LOOONNG time !!

I am guessing that commuting the sentence of the now dead killer, may go a long way toward sticking a fork in candidate Huckaby...he's done, I'll bet. Can you say Willie Horton.

I certainly hope not. Willie Horton was a different case. The Lakewood nut case involved him as a 17 yr old minor. Like I said, you may be right , but I hope not. Huck seems to me like a good guy who can do the job well. Certainly much better than the current employee that we have, but then again so could Bugs Bunny.

Hey, leave Bugs out of it. Now Daffy on the other hand.....

Just another shining example of why we can't get anything done in this country. We worry more about the rights of each and every criminal than we do about the good people. The way to stop crime certainly isn't to offer them nice accomodations and cable TV. They don't live that well outside of jail. The French had the right idea with the guillitene. They had public viewings of the executions and would hold the head up before the criminal died for all to see. The obvious intent was to alert people that they too could have this happen if they choose to be awful. That made everyone think twice before becoming a criminal.:)

I have no issue with Huck. But various opponents will beat him up about the commutation I would think. On that basis, that will add a front he will need to fight and shore up.

I wish the networks would air that interview. My sentiments exactly.
