  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
48' MOTOR YACHT-Series I (1981 - 1984)
My original, I think, in-dash depth sounder, a Standard Communications model 9XU9 has gone TU. I have power at the wires, but nothing on the face. This is one of those small circular units.

Would anyone know where to get a replacement? Or what the frequency of the transducer is? Hummingbird makes one that will fit the space, but I sure don't want to do another haul-out this year if the transducer doesn't match. It would be number four.

A few years back I just sent mine to the factory repair center and they sent me a new one for a small charge ~$40. That was even after they had discontinued the product line, so you might want to give them a try.

I had one of those do the same thing. The original one was a Lorance and the the replacement was the Hummingbird. They looked identical expect for the name on the face. It worked just fine with the old transducer which was a 200khz.

Thanks for the tips. I contacted Standard and they will attempt repair, but didn't think it was likely. In that case, they will sell me a new one for $49 plus shipping.

I had problems with my Standard depthfinder this year as well....can you please pass on the contact info you used to get your deal with them?
Thx
Todd

I Googled Standard Horizon, found the company web site and they had a place to contact them via email. The response back came from Devin Massens, d.massens@vxstdusa.com.

Good luck
