  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
48' MOTOR YACHT-Series I (1981 - 1984)
Here is a 58' Sea Ray type boat with a 50' sports fish on the hip. They were under command of National Liquidators. Going to auction? I took this shot last weekend as it passed through the rail road bridge east of the old Rosevelt Bridge on the St. Lucie River at Stuart. Tight squeeze. You can almost see the stress on the captains face.

Interesting picture. I wonder what these boats are going for...

Looks like a 38 Sea Ray and a 42 Ocean SS to me . Niether really high dollar boats .........................Pat

I saw them go by near Sandsprit while watching the airshow and it caught my eye too. I just figured a drunk Searay driver was leaving a raft-up and forgot the lines.

The perspective of the shot makes the SR look smaller. The side reads 580, and the captain announced he was 60'. After the got through and were directly in front of me it was obviously a big boat.

Mikle where are you located? I'm up in Kitching Cove.

Are you sure it's not a 380? That bow looks way to short for a 58'.

I'm just south of the inlet on Rocky Point, we anchored on the extended centerline of the active runway for the airshow, it was great.

Bob,

There you go again. You know you're allowed to have only so much fun and it appears you have exceeded your limit.

It's getting cool up north I understand (I'm in SanDiego now) and I can't wait to come down to enjoy the Fla winter with you guys soon. We expect to arrive at Angela's boat on the 6th of Dec and stay about a week.

Amazing. Not a single Hatteras on the list. I actually know the 1983 Uniflite in NJ. Sad story...

Look at the bottom of the list, a 1984 36' hatteras....

Looks like we're talking apples and oranges here guys as that list is of salvage boats. I doubt that 580 fell into that category and was most likely a repo.

This seems to be where that one was headed.

I know most of you just LOVE Sea Rays, but this one's the bargain of the bunch unless it's totally trashed.

I owned one of these for several years and loved it. That's when Sea Ray built a good boat, and this one wasn't just a modified Sundancer hull. They only built them for two years, '88 & '89, but the '88 has a better layout IMO.
