Yipee Looking for another Boat Need 92 series advice

Been on the sidelines for far too long! Looking at early 90's 48-52 cruisers. Not familiar with the 92 series at all. In my early research I am seeing several not make it over 1500 hours. either 6 or 8

So what's the good bad and ugly on these?

Is there a reason to only look at Detroit 2 stroke powered boats?

As good as they were the world did evolve since their inception.

I've got nearly 5000hrs on my 6v92s and they fire right up and run great. Mine are 465hp. The really pumped up ones don't last near as long.

If cared for, the 92 will last just as long as any other DD. The biggest issue is not overheating them and testing the coolant for proper SCA levels.
