Some of you will remember all the problems I had with my 15kw Onan so I wont go into the long story, lets just say after chasing down a whole bunch of little problems I ended up rebuilding the top end this winter. Now it starts immediately with just a little bit of glow plugs. After warm up its runs everything just fine. So here's the problem it "Smokes", not a lot just enough to be annoying in the marina. After running it on a recent trip for six hours it used NO oil and ran fine. I am thinking that I may have a bad injector? The smoke is light blue in color which would make you think its burning oil but its not. Also a very slight amount of fuel is sometimes seen in the water. Any suggestions?

Hey Chris...
Did you swap out all the injectors? Maybe still got a bad one?? Hows the engine temp? T stat stuck open maybe... not warming up proppa (?) ws

What if you put a FULL load on it? ws

I did Bill, on a return trip from Tawas to Bay city I turned on everything that i could, figure I was at 90 to 95% load. The genny didn't miss a beat and was at operating temps. It did smoke a little less under full load and warmed up. I had Derek R&R injectors when I rebuilt last winter But I think the fuel is old and a little crappy. Not burning a drip of oil or losing any coolant.
