So, I asked on the other thread, do you find it worth the hassle? Master license, insurance, Coastguard inspection for more than 6 passengers, sounds like a lot of work for a couple of hours at $250 minus the gas, groceries, maintenance etc etc.....

Yes sir. Our first week, we made just under $10K. I spend about $20 in ice, soda and water per charter. Then maybe $20 in diesel. The maintenance is gravy because with a boat this old, the maintenance needs to be done anyway. The additional insurance is $500 per year. Because I don't legally own the boat, I can Captain the BareBoat charters up to 13 people. Of course I give the charterer the option of hiring another Captain but they're usually tourists and don't know a Captain down here so I recommend myself. lol I don't charge much. Only $250 per hr. But for an 8 hour day on the water? for a party? What job is better than this? I love it.

He incriminated himself in his first statement "WE have been chartering MASTERPLAN". Had it been stated "THEY" this might work. I see a bust coming based on the number of posts and videos I have been seeing on various forums. Usually when people start publicly bragging about how much they make people start questioning the legality of such.

Coast guard Sector Miami is cracking up big time on illegal charters with massive fines and even jail time for repeat offenders. “It s not legally my boat” doesn’t cut it. If your name shows up anywhere in the corporation or if there is any social media evidence that you own the corporation (like a you tube channel)... you re toast.

The USCG has been going thru website and social media targeting illegal charters. If you violate any of the 7 criteria, your bareboat contact is void you get up to $49k (yes forty nine thousand dollars) in fine for various federal offenses incl not having a certificate of inspection, not having a stability letter etc etc. Criteria incl having the owner (direct or indirect on board), advertising all inclusive rates, not having TWO contracts on board (one for the boat, one for the crew) etc

They re stopping at least one illegal charter a week... not worth it

Yes I know FREEBIRD. You're quik to ZAP the advertisements when you don't know what you're talking about. No I don't own the boat or the corporation that would if a corporation did, which none does. So, Just take a chill pill and enjoy girls on a boat.
