Yard recomendations, Stuart area

Hi folks,

We are spashing our boat in October in Labell FL and heading over towards Stuart to get the boat ready for the Bahamas. The yard I am in now doesnt seem to be quite responsive to my request to have to have work done.

Can anyone recomend a good yard where I might have my Niads serviced? The fins are fine with good seals and no leeks so the servie should be able to be done in the water.

There are probably other is other work that I will look at having done as well.

What ever you do don't go to American, Whitaker, or Hinkley. There prices are ridiculous, Whitaker did good work but the prices rule them out for a repeat visit from me. I've been told A&J boatworks in Manatee pocket does good work with fair prices but haven't tried them yet. If you don't need to pull the boat I have used First Marine out of Stuart and been very happy with their work and prices. Their number is 772-291-2715. Although the last few times I called them they were very busy and not very quick to get to me. There is also Apex Marine, the only thing I've had them do is lift my new generator into the boat but First marine was doing the actual install. Apex only charged a couple hundred for the use of the boom to drop it in, which I didn't think was to bad.

Riverforest Stuart may be able to help. They primarily sub most everything but I find them to be honest and fair. Also I have dealt with A&B in Manatee Pocket and they are very good as well. Good luck
