  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
52' CONVERTIBLE (1983 - 1990)
I have a 91, 70CYPY, I have vacuflush toilets. As I am 75 years of age I would like to think of raising the heigth of the toilets. I have looked at many boats includeing Carvers, and they have moulded a raised platform for the head to sit on which is about 5 or six inches high which would suit me fine. I wonder if anyone can tell me of a soultion such as a floor insert that would do the same job for me. I am not crippled and do not need hand rails, but rather a simple mounting bracket or possibly Vacuflush makes a higher head for a replacement. Do you have a phone number for a reputable marine shop which might help me? Thanks for any help you may be able to offer me. Sincearly, WW Gilman

Vacuflush DOES make a "home height" head, which is a direct bolt-in replacement, assuming that the outlet lines up (otherwise you may have to do a bit of adapting with the plumbing)

There are actually several different models of the Vacuflush bowl assembly, with both compact and normal bowls, etc.

Thank you for your help. Would you possibly know how to get information on these units? I have been unsucessful on the internet. WW Gilman

The vacuflush website has a link to the different toilet sizes/styles. You're probably looking for the model VF3000 orVf3400. You could get better info from your local SeaLand distributor.

Good luck,

The site is vacuflush.com this will bring you to their home page from there you can pick the location that best suites you. If you still can not find it advise the location and I will see if I can help.

Their website is >www.dometicusa.com<. The tallest toilet I saw was 19 3/4" high.

Hey WWG, does this mean you decided to keep your 70' HAtt?
Good decision, it's a great boat! Glad you can keep her runnin'.

Doug

Thank You all for your help on the toilet problem. Now, where can I buy a 4 1/2 inch Hauser cover for a front deck rope hauser. Sams has the entire unit only at 88.00. I donot need the entire unit and to remove and reinstall is another expensive poeration. May be a simple PVC end cap would be suitable. It only keeps the rain out. OK helpers what are your suggestions. Thanks, WW Gilman I will sell or trade down in the future but that is an uncertainy so I will baby my love until that time arrives,
