WTB: 53' Yacht Fisher...anyone considering selling???

My wife and I are looking to purchase a Hatteras 53' Yacht Fisher now or within the year. We are located on the East Coast.

Is anyone aware of upcoming sales of this model?

i just saw one on facebook, i think on one of the hatteras sites, if not maybe the great loop site. the guy said it wasnt listed with a broker just on there to see if any interest

There are some on yacht world. One in Florida and one near San Francisco to start. Just google 53 YF for sale.

As of a couple of weeks ago this one was still for sale. The description and pics seem great. Has anyone actually seen this boat in person? I am surprised that a year after the original post above that this boat would still be available.

I have admired the one in St Petersburg many times. Looks to be clean, well maintained, and upgraded. Figuring lack of stabs and low power motors keep it on the market. The 58 layout is tough to beat.

Haven't seen it, but 3000 hours on those engines probably doesn't help.

The ad from the broker said 3000 hiours. The owners ad said 1800 hours. I would think either way, those hours arent terrible for Diesels

Owner claims he left the key on for one engine while boat was on the hard for blister repair. One engine has ~1800, the other has ~3000.

I am the original poster and ended up pulling the trigger on an SOB...specifically a 1990 55 Viking MY...

I feel a little guilty...but therapy is helping...

This group has been very helpful...will stop by from time to time...

Contact Eric Horst, SeaEric on this forum, at BayPort Yachts and get him to find you one.

He's a wealth of knowledge on Hatt's and the boat business in general. He knows a lot about everybody's individual boats, he's sold most of the members' boats on this forum at one point or another in the past. He can tell you where to look and what to avoid. He was nice enough to send me a cabin door key for mine the other day that he still had from when he'd sold it to the guy 2 owners before me. I never got one when I bought the boat, I was really grateful for that. Like, that's the level of detailed knowledge he has about these.

there is a 1979 53yf for sale on facebook marketplace in madeville la. murry yacht sales, $79,000 sounds like it needs some tlc. i have no affiliation with this boat, just passing it along.
