Incredible. Thanks for sharing. I wonder why they couldn't right it? And I wonder how much this costs?

Although its does seem like some of the cars may be salvageable if they weren't submerged.

As you can see from the better pictures of the first section, almost all cargo shifted. No way to bring it back up with such an imbalance. Trying to cut holes and lift the wrecks out would have been incredibly dangerous.

There is nothing to salvage in there, it s all wrecks

Some insurance company is hurting right now.

I have a friend who was a captain on the crew last winter.
They are still pulling cars out!

Some video coverage on this guy's channel.

It's a pretty entertaining channel too, if you want to kill some time watching boneheaded boaters at someone else's marina.

If you find this stuff interesting there's a ton of Youtube vids about the Dutch salvage companies Svitzer/Wijsmuller and Smit-Tak doing jobs a LOT more challenging than this one...... It's what we watch instead of the mindless drivel these days...

The engine room guys are lucky the ship tipped over in the USA. They were trapped and rescued days later.

We keep our second boat in Brunswick Ga. and we cruised by the wreck last month. It’s amazing to see up close how big that cutting machine is. John
