For some reason I cant find the word wrap function. When I type, it just keeps going across the screen and wont wrap. Where the button to make it wrap?.It doesn wrap until I 'post it.

That happens with my Android tablet but not the Windows lap top. Lets hope some one has an answer.

Im on my lap top with windows 10.

There was another thread about this. It seems to be browser dependent. Internet Explorer will wrap, Firefox will not. Same computer.

Yep, I started a thread about this, and it's still a problem when using Firefox. IE or Chrome work fine on my laptop, and no problems with my iPhone. It gets a tad old for sure and never used to be that way.

I have the same problem with FF. It doesn't seem to be fixable.

I have google chrome. I have been using it for years and all of a sudden it doesnt wrap any longer. Bummer

It has to be fixable as this place is the only one I know of that has this problem.

Perhaps similar to how video embedding used to work here, now it doesn't. Nobody can explain why or fix the problem.

Just tried my Android tablet with Chrome and had the same result. I guess when IE follows suit, we'll all be typing one liners.

Whew ... Thought it was just me. Google Chrome laptop and tablet, same issues. I rarely post now because it drives me nuts.

Happens to me too. I compose in blank email then cut and paste into forum dialog box if it's more then a few sentences.

Now I'm using my phone with the adriod system. So this is a test to see if my phone wraps. This is now wrapping. AND guess what, the android wraps. Now this is strange. Some people wraps and some doesn't. Now I'm really confused.

Does your Android phone use Chrome? Never owned one, so I don't know.

Exactly!!

Thought it was me but with Chrome on my MacBook, does not wrap anymore. Appears to be a site problem.

Call the techs....!

Maybe we should post this in the tech section. :)

My last post was confusing I think. I am home now and on the Laptop. The last post was on my phone and did in fact wrap. My phone auto corrected a word so it sounded confusing. Strange. I have google chrome on the android as well.

Me too, laptop with Vista. Drives nuts describes it well. But is a new thing-I have changed nothing and only happens on HOF. Something wrong here. Are there HOF geeks out there? Fix it!

I reported exactly where the problem is in the other thread. It has been ignored for almost a year.

Here it is:

I found an issue with the site that was caused by enforcement of some spec. somewhere in code land. I tested the recommendation and it seems to work just fine.

I know this could take a while but if you are paying someone to support the code, they should be able to flip this pretty quick.

Re: Help?

Ok I found something on the FF help site and it looks like I was able to get the text to work if I modified some of the code in the site. No, I did not hack the site, I went into the inspect element of the dialog box and changed "white-space: pre" to "white-space: pre-warp" problem it solved temporarily.
I was able to post this without any issue and it wrapped just fine. It appears this started with FF 36 because they started to enforce some deal in code land.

.cke_skin_kama textarea.cke_source {
font-family: "Courier New",monospace;
font-size: small;
background-color: #FFF;
white-space: pre-wrap; <----------------------- That'd be where I changed it... Something in manui.css:100?

Ok, so now I have windows 10. So I thought I would update this thread and see how the window behaves. As I type this update, it wraps the text, but words are split on the boundary. Another neat feature this Windoze deal offers up but at least it is more tolerable, but only with EDGE the new browser. Foxfire is still all balled up as would be internet explorer as well.
