I am reinstalling the Arroz veneer in the master State room – to get rid of all of that ugly wallpaper – and I am trying to match the stain and varnish/clearcoat of the woodwork. I’ll be damned if I can find a close match.
What have you guys used in the past? There is nothing like that flat/satin finish on the woodwork. It just screams old school. And that’s what I wanna try to replicate.

Afromosa. (You should see what autocorrect gave me for three separate times I typed it!)

Original was DuPont 704C. Sam’s had a replacement finish. Not sure if they still have it.

my boat has mozambique veneer and the closest thing i could find was minwax 215 stain then minwax warm gloss varnish

Minwax Red Chestnut stain #232 was a perfect match for me.
