Never, ever use 'em on deck.

I did yesterday. I hosed the deck down afterward and thought I found all the wires that had flung off, I didn't. Today they were easily seen as they were highlighted by the rust stains they created.

BLAH!!!

A simple solution is to use a stainless or brass wire wheel

But now that you have the rust freckles, use SnoBowl, the toilet bowl cleaner. You won't have to scrub anything and everything'll disappear. Just wash it down quickly.

And i though you guys were puttin ghetto rims on hatts.

The package said it was SS…I guess not completely.

Hydrogen Chloride 14.5%. Before our paint job, I used it mixed 50/50 with water to take the bow mustache off that you pick up in the ICW. Worked great on the original Imron. I did try to be quick, as it works on contact.

Not sure it will totally solve your problem as you need to remove the source of the rusting or I would think it will come back, shortly. Also, if you get any on the bottom paint, it will streak it with a lighter color.

No just a crap S.S lots of stainless will rust.
Such as 304 S.S will rust unless if you polish it to a mirror finish then it won't rust. Also why you want to use 316 instead of 304 on a boat unless your a Lake boater ;) those Guys have it easy :)

Safe bet us a a brass one.

To get rid of rust stains, use Ospho, which you can get from most hardware stores (Ace). Put it in a spray bottle and spray it on the spot. In the time it takes to drink a beer the average spot will be gone. Some of my friends don't even wash it down afterwards, but I do.

I don't have any Snoblow, but I do have Ospho. I'll use that.

Thanks
