Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
We live aboard in Baltimore and as such keep the boat warm enough that we didn't have any issues with frozen lines last year except for one exceptionally cold snap. I hung a few incandescent light bulbs behind the washer and under the spiral steps and that solved that problem. My question is what about the dock water inlets? It dawned on me that they are basically unprotected. Any ideas on how to isolate them and avoid any damage this year? Thanks and Happy New Year

You could put a 90 degree valve in the line and then just leave the dock water inlet open. It would probably gravity drain if there aren't any downhill spots or dips in it. Or, you could put a three-way valve in it and use that to blow air through it.
