Through unfortunate circumstances, my daughter's boat has a seized stbd engine. It will be rebuilt over the winter, but I still need to run antifreeze through the cooling system.

I believe I can use a pump and push it through via the zinc fitting on the raw water pump. Can anyone tell me if I can do that without removing the impeller, or will it block the flow if left in place?

The zinc fitting on the engine side of the pump.
If on the hill, drain the raw strainer.
Or just drain everything.
If your really concerned, a 60w trouble light under the engine will keep the last drops of water from freezing.
Don't forget a softball, football, play toy ball or fender up the exhaust outlet when all else is drained.

My pump had no problem pushing anti freeze past the impeller, I had a flo jet setup just for that purpose. It did work easier without the impeller in but on a 42c with 903 cummins it was not easy to remove them.
