  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
Hi everone I had replaced my salon back window which was some kind of plexi glass and
dont rember what type of material was used and year later it is foged up any recomendations
what to use to replace all replys will be greatly appricated !!

The only plexi windows Hatteras ever put in were the curved pilothouse windows on the larger motor yachts. All others were laminated glass with Solex tint.

If you're speaking of an aft deck enclosure, those were done aftermarket by many Hatt dealers. The OEM ones had the laminated glass sliders.

Yes mine was a 65 MY and they extended it to a 74 and
extended the salon so they used plexi glass should i replace
with laminated glass? thanks 😊 for all input

That is what I would do.

Agree with Sky, get rid of as much plexiglas that you can and replace with glass, you will love the difference.

thanks 😊 for input I took window out of door today and door has a curve in it so going
to use some kind of plexiglass any recommendations what to use thanks again for help

Is the door curved or has it warped?
Our sliding aft bulkhead door has developed some warp over the years.
We were able to replace the glass with tempered, just had to fudge the molding some.
One of these days I'm going to build a new door out if foam.....

Commas and periods really help you get help.

If you use plexi glass my supplier told me that any tinted plexi is now from China and is crap. If you want tinted plexi get American made clear and use a tint film on it. John

Thanks for all input ordered today hopefully will last John
