67' COCKPIT MY (1987 - 1995)
I have the deck mounted windlass foot pedals and the black rubber on one has cracked. I removed the screws around the stainless collar to find someone has used 4200 to mate the stainless collar to the rubber pad and probably the rubber pad to the deck. So far I am unable to separate them

Anyone have either (i) a strategy to attack this from below deck; or (ii) a plan for breaking loose something attached with 4200?

Thought I would ask before applying kinetic energy to the problem.

Sounds more like 5200. I agree with the post above. If that doesn’t work try heating a thin flexible putty knife and push it through. Protect the paint around the foot pedal with duct tape or a couple layers of blue tape.
