Will a pair of these fit in a 53C

That's what I was thinking too. I'm leaning towards it being a 16V71. Either way I don't think it's a factory original anymore.

24V-71. I think it's one of the engines that some ZZ-Top wannabe was going to put into a custom truck. He ended up going with another one that they stuck a dozen blowers on.

I believe you are correct. I guess I should have done some counting before. There's a few too many air box covers to be a 16 cylinder Detroit.

1) I hope they have the garage door open.

2) This weighs as much as my whole boat does, I bet.

3) You can get 3000 hp from a 4 stroke diesel with a lot less weight and size. But it wouldn't look as cool. What a monster.

There's other videos of the second one that show the construction of the blower box. Near the end in the still shots there's a picture of both of them in the shop. Where it went after that I don't know.
