Hatteras Model
41' DOUBLE CABIN (1962 - 1965)
I need to buy a Pod to mount my Furuno MFD. It looks like Seaview Power Pod and NavPod are the major choices. I see that NavPod has released the Gen3, but their website isn't working at this time.

Does anyone have experience with either of these? If so, I'd appreciate your recommendations.

I'm a navpod dealer and have never had any issues with their products. I use their precut versions on sailboats (Edson pedestals) with their guards all the time.

As a company they are great to deal with.

I have had a Nav Pod for at least 10 years with no issues. Pricey but a quality product.

I bought a precut Seaview for a Garmin 4212. Good quality unit. Bought a 7212 to replace the 4212, and Seaview sold me just the new face so I didn't have to buy a whole new unit. Good product, good customer support.

Thanks for replying. What's the deal with the Gen 3 and their website not working? I also noticed a lot of discontinued version on a reseller's site.

I'm not sure what's with the website. I'm a face to face kind of person.

As to dealers selling old and discontinued product. Sometimes they buy up old stock. And also theres a bunch of etailers that just put anything on their site and never take anything down.
