  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
43' DOUBLE CABIN (1970 - 1984)
While crawling around the transom in order to re-bolt the swim platform brackets I managed to break the rather dainty white nylon rod which connects the rudder arm to an arm on a sensor.

It is a linkage about 18" long and 1/8 diameter. It is threaded to allow a small amount of adjustment. The Raritan rudder indicator didn't work on the trip from the shipyard to the dock, so I assume it is for the rudder indicator. Although I also have a Navico/Corus now Simrad autopilot, and it could relate to the ap.

Can anyone tell me where to find a replacement part? A quick google search didn't turn up any source for the part.

Thanks

maybe just go to the hardware store and get some brass all thread rod?

Mine broke and I bought the end fittings for Morse control cables (angle linkage) I then bought 2 feet of all thread rod from the hardware store and cut to the proper length. I screwed the angle linkages on to each end of the new rod Way better than the old nylon setup.

Thanks,
That sound simpler and probably less expensive than finding the oem replacement.
